Transport will be arranged to the venue from Dundee on the day of the wedding, and so we recommend you stay in Dundee if you wish to take advantage of this.

Travel Guide
We’ve both moved to Scotland and fallen in love with the country so if you’re travelling far, why not stay a while and explore?
-
If you’re coming up on the Friday night for the wedding, enjoy a meal and drink in Dundee the night before and see some sights on Sunday. We’ve written up a list of our favourite places to eat and drink in Dundee.
On Sunday, visit the V&A to see The Oak Room by Charles Rennie MacKintosh and the current exhibition. Board the RRS Discovery and learn about her journey to the Antarctic. After, grab some doughnuts from Heather Street Food or ice cream from Janetta’s and stroll along the River Tay.
-
If you are here for a week, lovely! We recommend flying into Edinburgh as the airport has more transport links to the city and anywhere else.
After spending a few days in Edinburgh, you can get the train from Haymarket or Waverley station to St. Andrews where you can spend a lovely day in an ancient burgh by the sea. We love going to the aquarium, charity store sifting, or just walking around with ice cream from Janetta’s.
After that, grab a bus or train up to Dundee. We recommend staying in Dundee for the wedding. Once in Dundee, have a stroll around the city and along the river. We recommend the V&A and Discovery Museums. Check out our page with all our favourite things to do in Dundee.
After the wedding, head over to Glasgow for 2 days and then out to Oban for a quick adventure. There are so many beautiful walks and scenic vistas on the west coast. Or head up north to Inverness and the Highlands to see the famous Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.

If you plan to make a long holiday of the wedding, that’s fantastic! We hope you get to see loads of the beautiful country we call home.
We recommend flying into Edinburgh as the airport has the best travel links. You can easily see a lot of the country in 2 weeks and maybe even get out to the Islands! (Or, fly into London and take the Caledonian Sleeper up to Edinburgh!)
If you’ve got 2 weeks, we would recommend 3/4 days in Edinburgh, a day in St Andrews on the way to Dundee, 2 days in Dundee (then the wedding on Saturday!), then head over to Glasgow for 3 days and finish your trip up in Inverness and the Highlands.
The best place to plan full itineraries is actually the Visit Scotland website. They work with loads of local companies to put trips together or guides that you can use to make your own trip.
You can easily embark on one of the most beautiful road trips in the world after the wedding, the NC500. Just head up north to Inverness and take the North Coast 500 route for some stunning views.
